Chimp and Human Y Chromosomes evolving faster than expected

Y chromosomes are evolving rapidly for the pass 6 millions years since when the chimpanzees and human emerged from a common ancestor. Ys chromosomes have evolved more quickly than the rest of the respective genomes. We have the expectation of believing that the chimpanzee and human Y chromosomes would be highly similar, but they are remarkably different in structure and gene content. Example: the Y chromosome in chimpanzee has lost 1/3 to 1/2 of human genes, this is a huge change because the chromosome is likely changes to a home undergoing continue renovation. Like when things are being changes and reconstructed. This showed that the Y chromosome is ingenious at maintaining diversity of genes and our knowledge about the Y chromosome is still advancing. The researcher believe that the evolution of the Y chromosomes were due to traits specific, and differences in mating behaviors.
