Down in Florida, mosquitoes have always been huge problem. It leads to killed, sickened, bedeviled, annoyed, and outwitted many residents and visitors. In Florida, the place has warm weather with many swamps and marshland. Now, the bats abandoned the tower in Sugarloaf Key leaving the problems to the local people to take care of the mosquitoes. Dengue fever had became a problem in July of 2013. 20 people developed the disease. Locals in Florida are worried because these same flu was carried by the mosquitoes and it had occurred in 2009 out west. To find where these mosquitoes lay, it must be in small area that contain water. The locals tell everyone to get rid of any water that is expose to the environment in order to not let the mosquitoes reproduce. The use of DDT was banned in 1972 because back then they had drop large amount of DDT to kill the mosquitoes that live in the area. Michael Doyle, Florida Keys Mosquito Control District's executive director, stated it is harder to kill the adult mosquito due to that they are becoming stronger and resistant to the pesticide. Keys have been spraying pesticides into the car to let it float into small area where water are located to kill the larvae of the dengue fever.
